Architecture implies a marriage of form and function: For anyone to love it, it has to look good. It really does. But all the beauty in the world means nothing if you can't actually put the pieces together. The windows and doors have to work, it has to be efficient with energy, the appliances have to fit and you can't be having ceilings fall on your head.
The web is exactly the same.
